The Writing Stylists is a collective of independent marketing executives, publicists, copywriters and graphic designers.  We work both collectively and independently to produce exceptional visual and written content for brands and individuals.

Shana is a private career consultant with an extensive background in entertainment, sports, fashion and hospitality. She brings over twenty five years of experience in marketing and communications to The Writing Stylists. Her real world knowledge includes securing some of the world's most exciting and coveted entertainment and sports industry leadership positions - she's beaten out thousands of applicants for top jobs by creating stand-out assets and nailing rigorous interviews.

All the while, she has guided friends and colleagues in their search for new careers, coaching them on how to build their own personal brands and discover their hidden talents; along with creating the network and assets to get them noticed. Shana also consults with many independent business owners, providing guidance in building everything from business plans and visions to operations, sales and marketing tools.

Christina Kalsan is a Writing Stylists founder and veteran consumer products executive who specializes in international marketing and business development for global brands, including consumer products ranging from technology and telecommunications to housewares. Christina brings products to market with large-scale retailers, managing all aspects of marketing integration from the manufacturing and supply-chain process to orchestrating global consumer launch campaigns with multimillion dollar retailers, including Target, Best Buy, Amazon and Costco. Her corporate leadership experience includes Jarden Consumer Solutions, Sonos Wireless Audio, Nokia Siemens Networks, Plantronics, World Kitchen, and Motorola. ANNIE FAST

Annie’s career includes head in-house positions in action sports editorial as well as digital entertainment from coast to coast. She works with numerous mainstream magazines and top brands, which value her reputation for precise print and digital communication skills and execution. Her numerous client projects range from technical copywriting, brand communication, and blogging, to digital content creation. She holds a degree in cultural anthropology, a copy editing certification and is YouTube audience growth certified. Her skill set includes expertise in investigative reporting and interviewing, digital content production and distribution, as well as compelling editorial writing and blogging. HILLARY FRIEDMAN

Hillary Friedman is a graphic designer whose global experience has spanned a diverse range of industries from sports to finance, publishing, technology, beauty and digital media. For over 15 years, her client roster has included brands such as Nike, The Nike Foundation, Edelman, Fast Company, Hopstop.com, The CLIO Awards, The Andy Awards, Sonos, Nielsen, Time, Lucky, Teen Vogue, Gucci and Jurlique. Her career in graphic design began at International Media Partners, producing Emerging Markets, the publication of record for world bank conferences — a position which took her to Hong Kong, Geneva, Kiev, Cartegena and the Ivory Coast. She then joined graphic design agency Channel Communications, producing print for financial firms and the publishing industry. She followed this with a move to internet with Dreamlife.com, re-creating their entire corporate identity and online advertising and marketing materials. Hillary returned to print media as Promotion Art Director at VNU (now Guggenheim Digital Media), heading creating efforts for marketing, events and sales at Adweek, Mediaweek, Brandweek, Editor & Publisher, Technology Marketing and Sales & Marketing Management. Her last position before embarking on a freelance career was Art Director for Good Housekeeping.
